İzocam Sailing Team, sailing the seas with the motto of "İzocam is behind sustainable tomorrows", received yet another award! The successful team completed the Halicarnassus Cup stage of the 3rd Presidential International Yacht Race at the third place!
İzocam Sailing Team, sailing the seas to draw attention to global climate change, the importance of sustainability and the right to a good life, continues to take the awards home. Most recently, the successful team won an award in the Muğla stage of the 3rd Presidential International Yacht Race, the Halikarnas Cup. İzocam Sailing Team participated in the races, which started in Marmaris on May 25th and ended in Bodrum on May 27th, with the boat named Vamos under the captaincy of Mr. Yusuf Erce Demirtaş, and finished the races in the 3rd place in the IRC-1 (International Rating Certificate 1) class.
The winners of the Halicarnassus Cup received their awards at the ceremony held in Bodrum Castle on Saturday, May 28th. Aksaz Naval Base Commander Rear Admiral Mr. İbrahim Kurtuluş presented the trophy to the İzocam Sailing Team at the ceremony.
40 boats and 400 athletes from 14 countries participated in the races
The Muğla stage of the 3rd Presidential International Yacht Races was organized by the Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club, under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with the Governorship of Istanbul and the Governorship of Muğla and with the main sponsorship of DHL Express Turkey, within the scope of the 2022 Activity Calendar of the Turkish Sailing Federation. 40 boats from 14 countries set sail from Marmaris on May 25th, and completed this difficult stage in Bodrum. In addition to Turkey, 400 athletes from Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Belarus, Lithuania and England participated in the race.
İzocam Sailing Team, which completed the races in the 3rd place in the IRC-1 class, consists of professional racers as well as İzocam employees who received basic sailing training from the Sailmaster team.
