Sailing the seas with the motto "İzocam is behind sustainable futures", İzocam Sailing Team continues to take the awards home. The successful team finished the fifth leg of the BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy with the 2nd place.
Sailing the seas to raise the awareness on global climate change, the importance of sustainability and the right to a good life, İzocam Sailing Team continues to take the awards home in the Schüco BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy organized by Bodrum Offshore Sailing Club (BAYK). Sailing with the motto "İzocam stands behind the sustainable future", the team includes professional racers as well as İzocam employees who received basic sailing training from the Sailmaster team.
Consisting of seven stages and covering two days for each leg, the fifth leg of the trophy took place on 9-10 April 2022. Members of İzocam's senior management participated in the race in the fifth leg of the BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy. Senior management representatives will continue to sail together with the team in various races. İzocam Sailing Team took the 2nd place on the first day in the IRC-B class and rose to the stage in the races in which approximately 250 athletes from different provinces participated in 28 sailboats. Throughout 2022, İzocam Sailing Team will take part in 3 trophies and 30 races in total, including BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy, MIYC Marmaris Winter Trophy and Bosphorous Cup.
Mustafa Rüştü Uz, Technical Support and Product Management Coordinator of İzocam, who took part in the İzocam Sailing Team in the 9-10 April races, talked about ensuring the safety of the sailboats as well as providing the pleasure of the race:

Uz mentioned that İzocam Stonewool Ship Board, which is used for heat, sound insulation and fire safety in ship and maritime construction, cofferdam walls, fire compartments, fire doors and ship interior installation; provides heat, sound and fire insulation in places with very high temperatures thanks to its non-flammability characteristics and said that “İzocam Stonewool Ship Board can be covered with a sheet metal coating after being attached to the smooth surfaces that will applied with fixing pins, or it can be applied by placing it between the load bearing frame that will be formed on the surface. The plates produced in four different characteristics, Marine Firebatts 45 (MF 45), Marine Firebatts 110 (MF 110), Marine Firebatts 140 (MF 140), Marine Slab 150 (MS 150), are used in MF 45 ship interior installation, MF 110 and MF 140 bulkhead applications, and MS 150 ship floating flooring applications.”
Expressing that İzocam Stonewool Ship Mattress, which stands out with its fireproof feature as well as its high insulation feature, is also used in ship and marine construction, cofferdam walls, fire partitions, fire doors and ship interior installations for heat, sound insulation and fire safety, Mustafa Rüştü Uz stated that İzocam Stonewool Ship Mattress was cut to a suitable size, wrapped on the surface to be insulated, and the joints were sewn by passing it through a load bearing rabitz wire with a galvanized wire. Uz added that İzocam Stonewool Ship Mattress is produced in two different characteristics, Marine Firebatts 32 (MF 32) and Marine Wired Mat 80 (MWM 80).
