Renewing its packaging in the mineral wool product group in the previous period, İzocam recently redesigned the packaging of its Foamboard product.
The packaging of İzocam Foamboard, which allows healthy, safe and economical insulation, has been renewed in a way that also highlights UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
İzocam, the leading brand of the insulation industry, continues to redesign its packaging by emphasizing its contribution to the global goals set by the United Nations (UN) for Sustainable Development, and in this way, expresses its sensitivity to human health and the environment. The new translucent white packaging of İzocam Foamboard highlights that İzocam Foamboard contributes to UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and does not contain hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) and brominated flame retardants.
The new packaging of the İzocam Foamboard product features 8 direct contributions of the product to sustainability and UN’s global goals. As a result İzocam aims to emphasize the contribution of İzocam Foamboard to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed by the UN within the scope of combating global climate change and expected to be completed by 2030, and raise awareness among industry professionals to that effect. HBCD, which is defined as a permanent organic pollutant, is used as a flame retardant additive to delay polymer ignition and impede possible fires. The use of HBCD in polystyrene-based XPS (extruded polystyrene) and EPS (expanded polystyrene) products has been banned in our country as of November 2019. For this reason, attention should be paid when purchasing XPS and EPS products that they are 'HBCD-free'.
